One thing I've come to really enjoy about Nunca Duerma, and his music, is his complete refusal to stick to a formula. Rather than rehash sounds and drum patterns, the hallmarks of his original tracks are recognizable by elements you can feel, rather than hear.
His latest one-off is no exception. "He Is Gone" features haunting keys, eerie samples, and syncopated drums that smash you in the face- in the process, a mood is created that somehow manages to perfectly complement the seasonal transition as we move deeper in to fall.
